How Can sell art on SpaceElephant.com?
SpaceElephant.com is an open format virtual Art Gallery where the Artists and Buyers have direct relationship, without a membership fee or charges for posting images.
Selling art on SpcaeElephant.com is simple, first you have to set up your account by clicking on the register button (upper right). Once confirmed, you simple log into your account and click on the "Tools" button on the top of the page and scroll down to "The Gallery". From here just follow the prompts.
What does Base Stock mean?
This is the trigger to tell you when your inventory is low. For original art this is usually set to 1.
What is the buying process?
The buying process on SpaceElephant.com is simple: 1.) You find an item you'd like to purchase, you add the item to your shopping cart (you must be logged in), you proceed to checkout and submit the order. The artist is then notified of the order. You then pay for the total cost and the seller ships the item to you. Once you receive the order, you click an "Item Received" button and we release your payment to the seller. You can additionally leave feedback for the seller that potential art buyers can refer to when making a purchasing decision. Please note that your feedback will be seen by everybody who visits that artists gallery.
What happens when I purchase from multiple sellers?
The process is similiar to the process shown above, however, the processes branches and each seller is notified. Each seller is then responsible for fulfilling their part of the order.It is important to note that al of the art will be on one charge. Once a seller accepts their portion of the order, that partial amount is charged to your credit card.
Can I pay with a check or Money Order?
We apologize but we do not accept checks or money orders.
How is the seller notified of my order?
The seller is automatically notified of your order immediately via email. Information about the item you're purchasing and your shipping and contact information is provided to the seller. Your credit card information and any other billing information is handled completely by Yessy and is never made available to the seller.
What happens if the seller doesn't respond to my order?
If 30 days passes without the seller responding to your order then the order is automatically cancelled.
I paid for my order but the seller never shipped the order; what now?
Your payment is safe. SpaceElephant does not release your funds to the seller until you receive the order and click your "Item Received" button. If a week or more passes after you have paid and your order has not yet shipped, please try contacting the seller to find out the status of your order.
What should I do if my order arrived damaged?
Please contact the seller to arrange for the item to be replaced or refunded. Keep in mind that each seller has their own process for handling damaged goods. We recommend that all art shipped have the proper amount of insurance to cover all damages. If after a reasonable amount of time you are unable to resolve the issue with the seller, feel free to contact us at admin@spaceelephant.com to receive assistance in resolving the situation.
